Director Michael Winterbottom's boundary-stretching drama uses graphic on-screen sex scenes to chronicle the passions of two young lovers who meet at a London rock concert. Over the next several months, the two pass through the "life-to-death" stages of their relationship to the music of bands including Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Dandy Warhols, Franz Ferdinand, and others.
