JONATHAN URIE Canadian, Jonathan Urie is a Christian, musaic composer, song writer, pianist and radio program narrator and broadcaster. The past 12 yers have been devoted to the development of the celebrated Helen Steiner Rice music project of 20 songs and 5 albums. Part of these formed the basis for the Moments of Music and Inspiration radio broadcasts. HELEN STEINER RICE MUSICAL MOMENTS, The HSR project was recorded 'live' in Nashville under the guiding hand of renowned Christian producer, orchestra leader and music director Mr. Bill Walker. With 27 of Nashville's finest musicians, beautiful orchestrations by Bill Walker featuring the powerful vocal performances of Guy Penrod, Gary McSpadden, Gail Farrell, Jeanine Walker and Sheila Craig the results were wonderful. JOURNEY OF THE SPIRIT A Journey of the Spirit that began 30 years ago has taught Jonathan mutch about patience, perseverance, the power of prayer, trust, faith, courage and the guiding hand of the Lord. Along the way, many new songs have energed that reflect the valleys and mountain tops of he Journey of the Spirit. Many of those moments are reflected in this CD. MOMENTS OF MUSIC and INSPIRATION 'MMI' The MMI radio series of 5 minute inspirational programs began in 2001 in response to an opportunity through United Christian Broadcasters International. The MMI programs contain a message from God's word JUST FOR YOU plus a song from Jonathan Urie's vast collection of melodies. The programs are now broadcast around the world on the Salem Web Network and on many stations in Canada. Content has been from wonderful Christian writers and poets Helen Steiner Rice, Eugene Peterson, -The Message,Pastor Simon Measures-UK-Daily Guide, Stormie Omartian and Roy Lessin, MEET ME IN THE MEADOW by Roy Lessin provides a wonderful tapestry of beautiful inspirations from God's word for this newest CD. It is an honor to work with Roy Lessin and his great books. His style of writing is so uplifting and encouraging in so many ways. ROY LESSIN helped found DaySpring Cards in 1971 and he still serves as a senior writer for DaySpring. He is author of many books including 'Reflections from the Heart of God', 'Sunbeams Through My Window' 'His Footsteps, My Pathway' the award winning 'Forgiven' and his newest book 'Meet Me In The Meadow' A former missionary and educator, Roy continues to teach in home groups. He and his wife Charlene have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.
